Redbull (China)
This is a can of "Redbull" I found at an asian grocery store. At first glance, the features are obvious: stout, yellow can instead of the thin silver-and-blue can I'm used to. It also appears to be generally a different type of can as well, using corrugated metal and a different pop tab. The label reads that it's from the "Red Bull Vitamin Drink Co. Ltd", and celebrates 29 years of RedBull China on the back. This version seems to have less caffeine, as the nutritional label tells me it has 50mg instead of the typical ~90mg found in western Redbull.
Doing a bit of research, it seems like this is a separate entity to Redbull, making the same product under a different name and company. I won't go into too much detail about it (because it looks a little convoluted) and get right into the drink.
Flavour and First Impressions
First and foremost? Not really all that different from regular Redbull ngl. BUT! There are some key differences!
Firstly, it's not cardbonated! massive shocker. I was for sure expecting carbonation but I guess it's not there! Secondly, this drink is less sweet. I don't remember if 33g of sugar is less than what the Western one has, but it's definitely less just by taste.
Weirdly enough, the smell and general flavour do not differ at all.
Final Thoughts
All in all, pretty not bad. I would like more caffeine but otherwise it drinks smoother than regular Redbull and is personally more enjoyable. Give it a try if you see it!
